On a delightful sunny morning, 31 Members/partners (and Roxy) met at The Ardingly Inn for our monthly walk. After coffee we drove to the Ardingly Reservoir car park and walked to the spectacular Ouse Valley Viaduct.

John , a former Railway Bridge Engineer who had managed the refurbishment of the viaduct in March 1996, gave an excellent talk on the history and construction of the viaduct.

We spent some time exploring and photographing this impressive Victorian achievement, before returning to The Ardingly Inn for lunch together.
