Sixteen of us completed a pleasant walk from Henfield Common, on a fine but slightly overcast Monday morning .

There were good views of the north downs and Chanctonbury Ring and a lot of blackberries were picked (and some eaten!).

We saw to a large herd of deer in the deer park and got very close to a smaller group further into the park.

A very friendly pony and two donkeys greeted us on our return to a paddock at the farm shop , near to the start.

Afterwards fifteen of us had a slightly chaotic lunch at the Wheatsheaf pub on the Wheatsheaf / Aldbourne road.
