This was the recce the week before the walk.

Whilst numbers were looking very good on the day before the walk, the change in the weather, with heavy rain forecast all morning, caused a large number to cancel at short notice.

As a result there were only 12 intrepid people who embarked on the long walk and no-one to do the short walk. Whilst it was rather wet at the beginning of the walk, everyone was well dressed for the occasion and as time went by the rain eased up but did not actually go away.

The group got very spread out along the way and three people took a wrong turning which fortunately was quickly recognised and corrected so that everyone returned safely.

10 of the 12 walkers were joined by three others for a good pub lunch.
