Ten of us completed a 4.5 mile walk from the village hall in Bolney on a bright and pleasant morning .

The village post box was topped with a knitted Halloween theme.

We then passed Wykehurst Place, famous as a location for House of Horror films, currently covered in scaffolding for conversion into luxury apartments. We eventually reached Colwood Manor, which was similarly adorned.

We then walked through the apple orchards and came across three hungry Hungarian pigs, famous for their thick, curly woolly coats.

Passing along the edge of the vineyard at Bolney we returned to the start.

We then had an excellent lunch at the Eight Bells in Bolney.
