40 Members / Partners / Honorary Ladies and guests traveled by coach to Hampton Court for a visit that was arranged and very well organised by David, for which much thanks are due.
On arrival, we took the opportunity to sample the cakes and drinks in the Privy Kitchen.
We were split into two groups, each led by extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic volunteer guides. The very informative guided tours lasted just under two hours each.
After the tours, most took a break for lunch in the larger restaurant and then spent the remainder of the time individually investigating areas of interest.
We left Hampton Court just before 16:00 and arrived back home just after 17:00.
Amazingly, despite the forecast, the threatened rain never appeared (maybe a few small drops) - it made a welcome change from the inclement weather on the previous week's walk!
