The walk was about 5 miles with no stiles.
We left the car park and headed up to the windmill and then continued through woodland to reach Bentley’s Copse and the scout camp , eventually going down into Peaslake.
Mushrooms
Here we take a break and being so minded,) we bought cheese straws/ cake / coffee at the village store.
We then climbed steeply on an asphalt track, going past the church to reach the cemetery at the top.
Church clock mechanism
We then continued through woodland on a wide track to eventually come to the view point ,with great panoramic views.
We then descended , quite steeply , to the nearby start point.
An enjoyable lunch was taken at The Bulls Head Inn in Ewhurst which had an amazing variety of Tapas type dishes.
